This solution looks very intersting, would it be able to print granulated sugar or caramel? Because sugar melts between 140C and 160C.

yes. I have tried to do (normal sugar). Extruder can work with. Outline of the printed thing is not very good. Have printed on normal printbed. The thing is very fragile and cannot be removed from printbed. My workshop smells like a bakery. Thing will break because of inner temperature stress. After a few days the thing becomes very sticky. Maybe, other kinds of sugar will work better (sorbit, xylit) but untested. My machine is powdered and sticky now.
I have stopped working with sugar. If you have good result, please inform me. I want to make cheap concrete moulds for single use.

I have investigated this, but there is an off the shelf unit made for a Folger Tech FT-5 that is made to do this, but due to the increased weight on the print head, your print speeds would have to be reduced some what, or be using Leadscrew for axis drive.

What size drill bit did you use as the auger to feed the pellets?

Have not found the website of mahor.xyz before project start. My intention was, make a system with with normal 3d print spare parts in CC license. Also, I want to have a place to report my experience (positive and negative) so others can learn about this. Price of mahor's extruder will be equivalent of 26kg filament to me, that's to expensive to me. ABS and PLA pellets are around $8/kg so I'm looking for cheaper materials. Yes, that's a lot of tests and a lot of wasted ...
My print machine is based on a K8200, this means printbed movable in X and Y. High weigth of extruder module is Z axis only. Printbed speed is around 30mm/s, same as filament prints. Layer 0.3mm, Nozzle 1mm, this will give much higher volume flow than filament printing. Auger diameter is 10mm.
