Cool idea. Or just upgrade to IGUS instead and never grease linear bearings again!

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do you use this without taking off the bearing? I have a mk3 as well, so i am very interested in this.

Let me give you examples:
Y: I can lift the hotbed off by removing a few screws on the idler or the motor and then clipping a few zip ties. Now it's easy so slide the rods out and grease the bearings without removing them. To remove the bearings I'd have to remove the magnetic heatbed otherwise - and recalibrate it to be flat afterwards.
Z: I can unscrew the motors and the top ends, remove the rods and then access the bearings (if the assembly is on about middle height)
X: I use the modified motor mounts with the front opening for Z - meaning I can unmount them and angle everything to the front, remove the Z rods and screw the lead screws manually to the top to free the X-axis. Now I just need to remove the X-motor to loosen the belt and plug the X-axis ends off the rods (I use a reversed clamp for that, the thing in the picture can be mounted to push things apart instead of together...). Now I can remove the rods and grease the bearings.

Most of the bearings, when mounted, are only reachable for something long and thin - not something with a huge tube attached too closely.

Sorry to bug you again. I just received my 12" rods and LU bearings. Would you consider changing your greaser to be used for LMU12?
Thanks again for your help. I am printing 8mm version even as I write this.

I've added the LMU12 version - but I can't test it myself, it's just based on specs I found online. Please give it a try.

Thank you very very much. I am printing it right now and will let you know the results.

I got them printed. The injector is fine, the cap is a little too small and doesn't go over injector's tip.

Oops, sorry - the thread inside the cap made the inner diameter smaller over the full length - I've edited a new version which has 13mm ID.

I just printed it and it fits like a glove. Thanks for fixing it and publishing Fusion files. I used them to make short versions of your injectors. Would you like me to PM them to you? Then you can post them along with your extended versions.

Glad to hear that it works now.
Since you did the work on the short version - why don't you just publish them as a remix?

Thanks a lot for your design. It sure makes a lot of sense.
Is there any way I could convince you to add the cover like in this design:

Thanks again.

Grease injector for LMU8 bearings

I had thought about that as well - and now there is a first version.
Just printed this and the cap works well.

Thank you so much.
