I love this, and want to make shelving with it, my problem is that the wood I have is 20mm thick (pine) boards. How can i scale it up without affecting all the dimensions. Any advice would be appreciated.

I’m glad to hear that you like this idea! You could try scaling the part up in your slicer, but that would likely be hit-or-miss since you’re trying to fix an interior dimension the slicer can’t measure for you. I modeled the original part for 0.75 inches, which is about 19 mm. In theory, you could scale it about 105% in your slicer, but you’d probably have to print several trials to find the exact size you need. You’d also want to keep an eye on the screw holes and walls to make sure scaling the part up doesn’t mess them up. All that said, I’d be happy to post a new version the part sized for 20 mm wood, but I’m unfortunately away from my computer until next week. I’ll post an updated version for you as soon as I can. Thanks!

Thanks so much, I did try scaling it up a little but like you say it is the interior measurement that I want to change and not the whole part, and did print one to big, it would take quite a few prints for me to get it right. I also tried meshmixer but that just made things worse lol... Any chance of getting a customizable one for different sizes of shelving boards...maybe a good idea for some light shelving. Thanks for replying, appreciated from South Africa

I posted the updated parts - it should all work correctly, though you might need to scale up the part a tiny bit or sand down your wood as the slots in the parts are exactly 20 mm. If you have any issues with these parts, let me know and we can tweak them some more. Thanks again!

Thanks Tony, will print a test during the day and let you know, looking forward to this project, appreciate it!

Absolutely - I’ll get it posted as soon as I can. Amusingly, I’m posting this from a mountain in Alaska, so with you in South Africa, we’re about as far apart as two humans on Earth can be at the moment. Technology is crazy!
