Updated Mar 3rd 2019: Now version 6. Improved duct outlet to direct air flow to the tip of the nozzle. Increased space for wires. Improved mount points for OEM 4010 fan. Added air exhaust ports on each side to improve air flow across the heat sink.
This Hero Plus ver6 is compatible with both the OEM hot-end as well as the MicroSwiss hot-end. It has more clearance for the larger cooling fins.

This Hero Plus version 6 is all one piece with a stronger mount block attachment.
Print the Hero Plus with the backside down on the build plate. Supports are required, but only from the build plate.
Setup requires complete disassembly of the hot-end from the X gantry, so as to pre-assemble it in the shroud and mount it all at once.
Trick to mounting it to the gantry is to leave the front fan off, then with the rest assembled screw the hot-end to the bracket through the fan duct.
Parts Cooling Duct Height Placement
When the hot-end nozzle is touching the build plate, the bottom of the part cooling duct should be between 1mm and 2mm above the build plate (depending on your hot-end and nozzle shape/size). You want the ducts to be blowing air at the base of the nozzle. The lower the better, but not so low as to catch on the printed parts. I set mine to about 1.2mm - 1.4mm above the bed. Added adapter ring STL file for use with the EZABL Mini which is only 12mm in diameter. Print 2, one for the top, one for the bottom.

Any PLA or PETG
Print the Base with the back side (that connects to the X gantry mount) down on the build plate. This will give you the best results, strongest parts, and use the least amount of supports (but you DO NEED SUPPORTS). For support set "Touching Build Plate" only. You do not want supports inside the fan ducts or base.
