I appreciate and am thankful to the original design by bjared. I love his version of a chess board because of the interlocking nature and ability to scale up BIG.
And, I scaled this model up and ran into a problem with the interlocking tabs disconnecting. The print process, printed the tabs razor sharp alongside the main piece but separate. I believe possibly by scaling up this happened, or my newbie slicer skill set, but regardless, tabs consistently fell off or not connected at all. Tabs did no weld together at all to the whole part for some reason.

SO I made little internal (to surface) connecting tabs to bond the parts together. That worked! The slicer then would print the tabs as part of the whole. This is the first time I have ever experienced this problem but I am more focussed on moving forward and working solutions. This worked for me with a scaled up version of the original.
Thank you again to the original creator that I remixed his files. I love his work and appreciate the time and energy it takes to not only create but care enough to share! Thank you!
