Any chance of making an extended version of this so the motor sits a little further away from the printer? Say about 10mm more.

I wish you could rate designs because this deserves a 1 star for a remix. He has just extended the hole depth but has not increased the plate thickness. This means at 0.3mm its only two layers thick at the base of the nut (and one is a half layer due to the chamfer). Highly likley to flex or fail defeating the point of having nylocs in in the first place.

Wasted print, Thanks

Thank you for this review. it saved me from printing it and finding out the hard way. You're exactly right that 0.3mm isn't going to be enough to hold the Stepper+BMG to the printer long term. I remixed my own version which allows for locknuts to be used and corrected the issue by instead deepening the plate and extending the bracket length.

You can find my reminx of the source file here.

Bondtech BMG Creality Mount (For Locknuts)

Why have you mount the bontech in reverse side?
Your enter for filament is made for the exit... it's also the side for e3dv6 direct drive mount.
Is it working good in that side?

Hi Cuibs_RF3D.

This is the same discussion as ever :P

Bondtech works same in both directions. I've followed exactly the Bondtech oficial Installation Guide:

Furthermore, is easier to adjust the pressure under the filament. By the way, I haven't had any issue with this setup.

Thanks for your comment!

And you have also reversed the 2 wires of your motor?
I'm printing your support now, so I will see if I follow this installation, or I used it in the 'official' direction.
Your comment on the pressure adjusting will help me to choose the best :).

Thanks for your model.

No, I've simply changed the reverse in my marlin configuration file.

Both sides work perfect, but I prefer to make my life easier on this side :D

Let me know if you need help.
