Hey guys! I am posting my base for the 3 inch variant of the moon lamp (however I believe it will work for any of the sizes with the 28mm hole in the bottom), as well as the information on the light I am using to light the moon. Both of the items in the photo I have above were purchased from Lowe's and will cost less than $10, and the whole thing is much more hassle free than any small battery powered LED. The cord and light mount is used for a candelabra light, and the spring-like clips on either side fit perfectly onto the rim of the hole in the bottom of the moon lamp itself. From there, the base slides over the entire cord and the cord itself clips into the back, giving you a very clean looking moon lamp to put on a shelf or a desk. I will be remaking the base for myself out of Hatchbox wood PLA for a nicer appearance. I hope everyone finds these items as useful as I do. Thanks!
