Which way does the extruder drive gear go on the stepper? Does the set screw go toward the stepper or away from the stepper?

You don't happen to have a version adapted for a 624 by any chance, right? Where I am, sourcing a 625 is being quite difficult without waiting 4+months for a parcel from china :(

which x-carriage have you used?

MK2S and this one only.

Very good job! Thanks for the remix

I'm in the process of printing the parts for my Bear Full upgrade on my MK2s (more like a MK2.3 as it has the bearings, rods, and flex bed upgrades, but still using MK2s extruder assembly). Interested in seeing this continue to improve. Does it use all the original mechanical parts from the MK2s extruder and X-Carriage (pulleys, bearings, shaft, etc), or does it require any additional upgraded parts? Thank you.

Hi! Here is the link to pekcitron's manual: https://github.com/gregsaun/bear_extruder_and_x_axis/tree/master/manual

I used his Fusion 360 models to design this. The MK2S is an alteration of his MK2.5 extruder. Please use the manual to build.

All of the hardware required by his manual is required for this one, except for the extruder idler which uses the stock MK2S 625 bearing and printed shaft (the printed shaft that came with your printer.) Also, you can use the standard smooth X end idler pulley on the right Z axis X end idler, but you will still need to buy the shaft for it which is in the his manual's BoM. Please note that the shaft will have to be "persuaded" into the stock smooth pulley in the X end idler :)

The manual pekcitron created was intented for MK2.5 or MK3. I've been told that both will have enough of the needed screws/nuts/washers with the addition of the parts in your spares that came with your printer, but for some reason I still need at least another M3x40 (and currently am printing with it missing out of the extruder motor, so I only have 3 screws holding my extruder motor on right now! hah)

Thanks. Printing now, and will give it a shot. Will be sure to post a make once completed.
