Hello Zarisson,

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, I'm thinking about a number of different watering systems, and lighting :-). I like to do this kind of thinking iteratively, and first wanted to establish if my printer can print a useful size planter, what kind of space it would take, what would my lovely partner like to see, etc. I am thinking my liner pot may drop through a few inches, and have external threads so different things can go on the bottom.

I think my first shot at a watering system will having a screw on water tank, feeding a self watering wick. I may reserve the hanging system for led power, so they could give a light boost. Where I live it's fairly dark for most of the winter.

I see the snow outside in the photos! I dream about living somewhere that the snow lies in the winter.

This image may change the nature of your snow dreams! My workshop after last years record snowfalls. It gets quite a bit of snow. :-)

You see, that just looks too gorgeous for words! I'm afraid your photo didn't put me off at all :-)

Hi @drewrt,
I like your design!
My thoughts on vertical gardening always include watering systems, since there's the opportunity for water to go everywhere with hand-watering (or even just to get in behind, and damage paintwork--maybe I'm just clumsy). I got really excited looking at your hanging planters because I thought the cords also incorporated a water path, but I see that's not the case. Have you thought about this?
