Space saving screw-down axle stands for VincentGroenhuis' ingenious filament unspooling protection system (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3200204). These are also compatible with his new parametric design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3252111
In my setup I am also using:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3234840 (under spool filament guides)
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3214672 (PTFE to pneumatic fitting adapter)
Please note that there are three versions of these stands. The original version is intended to be screwed onto a horizontal surface and includes both single and double holder modules. The single module is symmetrical and can be mounted on either the right or the left without any modification. If you are looking for a design of the double mount that is easier to print laying down on the bed, you'll find Petclaud's remix here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3253581
The wall and ceiling mounted versions of these stands have 3 different STL's since the left and right single mounts are not interchangeable. You will need to enable supports "everywhere" for the double wall and ceiling mounts so that the overhangs in the axle inserts print correctly.
All of these mounts are designed for use with #8 pan head wood screws and #8 washers.
v0.2 - Slightly larger clearance for screw holes and washers than initial version. If the axles spin in the holders it may become necessary to drill a small hole in the end of axle and add a small screw to block it from spinning. Doing that is unnecessary if you are using the printed axle in the updated (and very awesome) parametric version Vincent just released. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3252111
