Hello, i want to print this amazing desing for my wall but when i open it in cura i have this problem... "unprinted parts in the middle of the piece" What can i do to solve this? I'm using 0.4 nozzle

very cool. I downloaded the 3pc set. resized it to 300%. Got these small pieces that shouldn't be there. They could and probably will detach from the build plate

Hi, This is beautiful, as I am new to 3D printing, it looks like it is going to print with a lot of pieces that would have to get joined, please can you let me know how do I join all the pieces when they are printed? and also how do I mount it onto the wall?

There should only be a few smaller pieces that are detached from the 6 or 3 larger pieces. Super glue works great for bonding PLA together if needed. Also, please look at the "makes" and remixes for ideas how to hang it. I believe someone made brackets for it to attach to the wall. You could also drill a small hole and nail it.

thank you for your reply, one more question, do I need to resize it and if not how big is the final project??

I don't know what your build area is but the 6pc model is approx. 200mmx200mm each, so the full print will be 400mmx600mm ~ roughly 16"x24"
Your slicing software should let you scale to fit your printer easily. Just make sure to scale each the same amount. Good luck.

I love this three part design! Your picture is very nice, but when I open it in a 3D program, some parts are not as nice as your picture.
It would be great if you could upload a 2D version of this design. stl or dxf preferred. Then I could cut it in plastic or laser cut it in plywood.
Thanks!

dxf uploaded

Thank you again! :)

Could you post the files in Illustrator AI, DXF, and/or DWG format(s) to make it easier to make on a plasma or laser?

Great design! Might I suggest uploading the three-pane design piece-by-piece? When you cut it into six you cut off some pieces on the mid-plane that are just floating in the print, only bottom mid and bottom right are uneffected by this... personally I like them split in 3 better than six anyhow :)

I took the liberty of cutting up the 3-pane file set into individual STLs and am attaching them to this comment if you want to use those. The probably aren't sized right though.

Hi Roykinn7! Thanks for the suggestion and the files. I've added the 3 piece sections as you've requested. :)

cool wall arts :) any chance you could do some dinosaur ones? my kid would love them :)

Thanks! Yes I will add some soon.

Nice wall art!

But, mid botton is missing (really it is the same as mid top file)

Thanks for letting me know. I'm in process of fixing this now.

How are mounting it to the wall? Any advised settings on layer height/infill?

My thinking is to glue three thumbtacks on each backside and "gently" press them to the wall. I hope they will stick to my wallpaper and not make too visible holes.

This print is not heavy at all. It's only 1mm thick. Strategically placed double sided tape should do the trick...or you can get creative and permanently affix it to some thin plywood.

I suggest 100% infill and .3mm layer height if you're using a .4mm nozzle. Maybe a base layer of .35mm?

Good luck and please upload your make if you can! Thanks!!
