This is a great idea. Love the use of magnets. Hoping this will fit my Tevo Tornado. Thank you for sharing this awesome design. Your X and Y tensioners are amazing also, cheers!

BL-Touch option would be amazing, but I figure I'll just rework the BL-Touch mount to fit your design instead of the other way around. Thanks again!

Great idea but it doesn't fit the Ender 3.
It printed fine but when installed, the venting outlets at the bottom rest on the heating block silicone sock, too high.
An adjustable height system like on the Hero Me or the Bullseye would be great !

As per title, It is designed for the Cr-10 hotend... I have no idea if can be fitted on other hotends (and I have no way to try at the moment...).
I really don't like the "adjustable" systems of the Hero Me or Bullseye, because imho make the model unnecessarily complicated; and the main goal of this fang is to "simplify" the life (especially mine :-P), by not using screws or mechanical interlocks.

Sorry man, but unfortunately, I have no plans at the moment for upgrade or modify this model, on my machine is working correctly "as it is" since the beginning.

I've just assembled this using N45 Neodynium magnets. It's very strong, so I left out the middle magnet from the fan mount.

I've also just got a 3D touch (BL Touch clone) and want to mount it to the left of the mag fang. All the designs for touch BL touch mounts are for the stock CR-10 or other fang mounts.

I would like to remix your base plate to add a BL Touch mount, but it's to complicated to do without the CAD file. Any chance you can send me a fusion 360 or STEP file? I'll contribute it so you can add it to this project.

A small suggestion would be a LED mount clip on for just under the hotend cooling fan.

Just an idea

Hey awesome design will be printing this badboy over the weekend.

Which version of cooling pipes gave you the best result with the 4010 fan?

Don't forget to buy the magnets! otherwise is useless!!!!

Since I posted the model, I am using the Mk2 version of pipes, without any problem.

I will wait for your feedback!

I have a ton of magnets already, and this design makes swapping spares very comfortable.

Hi, it is possible to get the cad files or change the holes for the screws on the base, so it can be fit to the X5S.
He has the same extruder. I love the magnetic idea! This weekend i print some things and between that i can
get the technical dimensions and place on a foto. Thanks

sorry for very late answer...I miss your comment!

let me know the new holes position!

This is fantastic, it is such a cool idea. I use a 5020 fan so I meshmixed smashed a different fan mount on to the fang. Now, gaining access to the heater block when changing nozzles is easy. I think 3 magnets on the fan is possibly overkill, but better safe than sorry. Thanks, Cornley_cool, I appreciate you sharing your work.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! Yeah, maybe I placed too many magnets, but At the beginning I was unsure about the result with my previous versions...so...! Please, post your remix, can be useful for other people!

Hi cornely cool,

Nice design and project !!!

Have you results of vibration tests, when using ?

If ok, that will be my next fang !

No, I didn't notice any vibration during the print.
The magnets are strong enough for hold everything firmly in place.

Anyway I've made a Mk2 model of the pipes, that match more the profile of my existing one (another my design) in terms of cooling direction.

I just ordered some magnets on Amazon, should not take long for them to come in. Once they are in I am going to give this a print and try it out. I can't wait! Love the magnetic idea! Should keep it nice and tight.

Almost one month on board, and still working like first day, no problems, good clear view of the hotend, easy to dismount and reassembly!

My magnets just came in (Yay Amazon!) so I will probably print this over the evening and get it set up before bed leaving the night to a large print to test it all out. Ill get pics up once I have it all printed up and mounted.
