Hi there
Can I just print the cover and use it to replace the original one on ender3?

Yep. You sure can.

Yep. You sure can.

Will the "shroud" fit without the dampeners?

Hi Fedor, I've completed my final prototype on the direct extruder and I used your pattern so that it would match the set. I've provided a link to your project on my page. Hope you don't mind, now it all matches ;)

Ender 3 Direct Extruder

Awesome! Lookin good. I've always wanted to try a direct extruder, now I have a reason to. ;) A few suggestions on the esthetics. I'd go all the way through with the hex holes. Even-though you'd see the NEMA there, it would still make it look a little better with the full cutout. Also, rounded corners would help with continuity as well. ;)

Thank you for sharing another great design.

The question is, but it works?

These don't make the printer "quiet". However, it does reduce a bit of noise by removing some of the vibrations that create hums through out the chassis. At least, changing the tone of the steppers to be slightly less annoying. :)
