When trying to slice the tail in Slic3r it gives weird 1st and 2nd layer. (prusa PLA , 2 perimeter, 0% Infill 0,2mm layer).
Trying to print the gcode made in Slic3r does not work. (gcode included in zip file works).
Any ideas?
Slic3r PE version 1.41.0+win64

Why is there this Strange step at the neck layer? It's in the original as well but this just makes it harder to print.

Tried printing this, but the top of the head came out pretty bad. From between the eyes down to the beak, you can actually see between the layer lines, into the head cavity. Maybe another perimeter would have helped, I don't think two is enough for this piece. It's salvageable though, can fill the gaps with superglue, or just put a layer of duct tape inside. Then it should be less visible when I spray paint it (only had silver filament to hand).

Hi, thank you for comment. I made a new version of the top of the head and it is thicker. Try it again and let me know ;)

You might want to consider including the 1st version of the head/neck back... the issue I am seeing is that the neck section simply will not print at a 0.35 scale (in Cura) but the rest seems to be able to print at that scale. I picked 0.35 scale as it should be large enough to still fit the (unscaled battery holder a little further down into the neck (and using 3mm LEDs). The 1st version is now gone so I am not sure of 1st version would resolve slicing issues with the neck or not (perhaps it would be even worse).

Messed around with Cura and it looks like anything less than 50% scale will have issues with the neck area. No big deal though, 50% scale is still alot less filament and can be workable regarding the LEDs.

looks great i need some black pla now i just can't make a blue crow you know. i like how simple the eyes are it makes it so the average joe can do build this one, thanks!
