100% printable, modular, weaving stick shuttle and pickup stick
I printed parts for, and build my first heddle loom, but then I found myself without a shuttle to weave, so I wanted to make one. But then my print bed is too small to print a large one, so I decided to go modular, not only for me, but for others as well.
It's simple enough: print the heads (one male one female), print the body parts, assemble.
No gluing necessary
The model was created with tolerance for a simple push-fit, worked well when I printed, though if disassembling and reassembling the parts many times, the join may wear and become loose.
I have not tried weaving with a pickup stick yet, but I figured the same idea would be nice. I've created heads to use instead of the shuttle heads, if you wish to use this as a pickup stick. Feedback is welcomed!
Supports: make sure you set your slicer to generate supports touching the build plate only, otherwise it will print supports within the female joint part.
I also suggest enabling the support interface setting (Cura) or similar setting in your slicer.
Walls / Top / Bottom:
I printed mine with 3 walls and 4 top/bottom layers.
Suggested list of bodies for the length of the shuttle needed
Of course you can mix and match any lengths for your needs, but here are suggestions for your convenience.

- 38 cm (15 in) ----- med (x2)
- 45 cm (18 in) ----- med (x2), small (x1) -OR- long (x1), med (x1)
