Whats the force this can generate? I need it to firmly hold (so i cant move it by 2 fingers), lets say steel rods, about 60mm in length and dia from 3mm to 25-30mm

So the thread is definitely a bottleneck strength wise of this model. Putting too much force on it or leaving it with clamping something tight for too long like over night will definitely cause it to break. I literally just finished modelling a version 2 of the clamp last night with a much better thread design that makes it MUCH stronger and I should have it posted on Thingiverse in a few hours.

OK, tnx. I print lots of M10 threads for my work and first bolts which were print in vertical orientation mostly broke (whatever the infil rate) so now i print horizontally and it has great strength. Thread looks worse but works great. Ill try similar with this

On this design, L shapes that hold piece have no support so only thread rod holds them , which is not enough

Yeah new version prints horizontally with no supports I just made the bottom flat and the thread surprisingly works perfectly.

The inner thread on the "difficult print" thread seems to be reversed on one side. I'm unable to get the thread cap into both ends.

Super sorry about that I didn't think that using mirror would reverse the threads. I made a version of the thread end with left-handed threads. Hopefully, that fixes it. Let me know if it works, and thanks for the heads up I'll make corrections to the .stl's
'

No Problem! I figured you had just mirrored the thread. Thanks for the new cap!

Thank you for this thing! Thumbs up to you!
