Sounds great Monoito. Something to keep in mind for testing is that this design is Reynolds number sensitive. In air, I think it’s ideal diameter is between 1m and 3-5m, so quite large. Very small units will not work as well. However in water sizes as small as 10cm dia seem to work very well. It’s also worth remembering that turbine of most types have power curves, as speed doubles, energy available cubes, so at higher speeds the load per revolution needs to increase. The best be for testing is to find a location with a consistent flow speed, wind or water, then start by allowing the turbine to freewheel, then slowly add load. It’s important to remember that maximum torque load is not what you are looking for, maximum watts is.
