I changed filament and installed this part. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't laying down plastic. I cleaned the nozzle, removed and reinstalled the filament. Then I realized...it was this part. It applies so much sideways pressure against the filament that it can't extrude.

Into the recycling bin.

So sorry, I'll try to do better next time.

My first print.

Nice quick design that prevents the filament from brushing against the greasy bar on the ender 3!

Unfortunately I get the grinding noise of the PLA filament rubbing against it.

I wish this worked for me but it didn't. Not sure if creality made a change that altered dimensions but this guide didn't line up at all. Production date on mine is 3/19. Filament takes a hard left to go into the extruder feeder. See picture... Makes filament changes a little tricky but doable, not sure I like how hard it has to pull to feed filament during printing.

Well, that's annoying!

I added another version with the hole moved slightly to the left - try that!

Looks really good, but I would use raft if I was to print again. Thank you

Printed your guide and it works perfectly. Most people are mounting their spool on top but I mounted mine on the side so the filament comes off the bottom and is more of a straight shot into the extruder. Your guide is simple and works perfectly in this configuration keeping the filament away from the Z-axis screw. Thank you.

Good stuff, glad to hear it worked for you!

Thank you for this thing! Thumbs up to you!
