Nice design! I printed this and it came out great. If I had to make one negative observation though, it would be that the tab that holds the slider in position over the Clean and Dirty words only seems to hold the slider firmly when slid to Dirty. When its on Clean, it does not hold as firmly and as such the sliding face can easily be bumped or vibrated half out of position between clean and dirty.

Look I make it! I added a 45 degree angle bracket so it is aimed upwards.

Print with white filament till layer 6 then change filament to black. Layer 5 was not enough at 0.2 mm layer height. Cura lies. If you really want to make sure go up to layer 7 before changing to Black.

Is it at all possible to get the .sldprt file converted to .step?
Thanks!

Can you tell me what font did you use so I can change the text in the Letters.ai file please.

You can skip the painting even on single-color printer. Just swap the filament halfway on text plate (you need to print it separately)

fantastic ! such a b-e-a-utiful design !!!

well done !!

excellent ingenuity, well impressed !!

I Like it and I will print that for our office here.

one question: why is the knob extra and not directly modelled to the window plate?

Didn't bother with paint just printed first 5 layer in white then switched to black on letter plate part.

Great job. A version with a magnet in the backside was awesome!

Thank you for this thing! Thumbs up to you!

I am digging my print of this. Good job on the design.

Everything fit snug except for the letters. They were too large. Not sure if anyone else had this problem. I tried using a rotary tool to sand down the letters and the plate to size but ended up just ruining it, so I reprinted the plate. I also tried hammering in the letters which kinda worked but they would still stick out too far and it warped the plate.

In the end, I opted to not use the letters and just painted it instead.

Thank you SO much for this idea! I just tried this and it worked perfectly!

Hey I'm glad you like it! And the letters were always supposed to be painted. As the file name suggests, the separate letter files are for multi material printing and are not intended to be added afterward. However you just gave me a great idea on how to improve this!

Any chance you could make the letters fit with some tolerance so they could be painted and then glued in? Just an Idea?

Are all the modifications you show in the video in the files here?

Great design, i'm printing it now.

I used "Ultrafine Tip Applicator Bottle" with white acrylic craft paint, flows right into the channels of the letters. Will post pics of a completed Make when done.

Nice! I plan on making more of these, so I'm definitely going to try that out too :)

Love this design! Did you paint the silver letters in or did you swap filament colors?

Paint! I showed that in the video :)

I noticed that after commenting :) I love the design, and it is working really well on my dishwaser right now! :D
