Hi. I am printing this now and I already have my silicone. But what is the purpose of Body 6? Was it designed as a separate piece to make Body 1 easier to print? Also, is the top screw just meant to hold Body 1 and Body 6 together? What holds Body 1 to Body 2 and Body 3? Thanks.

Hi! Yes, I made body6, so body1 is easier to print! You need to screw body1 and body6 together, like on picture 2. Then you screw body2 and 3 together. Then you fill body2+3 with some silicone and just press body 1+6 into it. The silicone needs to cover body1, but not body 6 (like on picture3) I hope you understand what I mean ;)

I just finished mine and it came out great! I used high temp RTV silicone instead of a two part silicone. Since it was much thicker, I used an M2 screw to line up Body 1 and Body 6, then superglued them together. Then I printed a flat square shape with a small hole in the middle and clamped it over the top to get a good squish.

One question: with the sock in place, I can't tighten the lock screws on the heater core or the thermal probe, and I can't change nozzles very easily. Normally, I would just pull it off to the side with the wires and let it hang, but as you can see there is no room for that on my Anycubic Predator. So where should I make a slit in the silicone so that it will slide on and off when I need to remove it, but not fall off while in use?

If you want to remove it quickly, just cut of the bridge (blue cuts on pic). also cut of these overhangs (white cuts on pic)

Thanks to all for your recommendation,
Gruss !

Where do you buy the silicone ? Have you a reference to recommend ?

In Germany, we like to buy from Trollfactory.
I have attached the Amazon.de link to you.

Hello, my silicone is only available in germany. But i heard many people use this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002UEOPA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_ep_dp_Z6dMAbCVK6JPM?pldnSite=1
(on your own risk, do some research!)

ging ja schneller wie gedacht hätte ich nicht so schnell selberbauen können :-)
hat sich das warten doch gelohnt......
