If the handles were in line of the smallest instead of the biggest circle, these would be easily printable without support.

Great job, really love this thing! I managed to print and everything works fine, but one problem arises in the CURA slicer. The body of the opener requires repair. In the area of the hook separation occurs. I was able to solve this problem and combine separate areas of the model, but some deformations of other polygons appeared. Perhaps you can fix the original model. I attach a screenshot of the slicer with the place where the separation occurs.

I just found this myself. It's odd the maker didn't catch it.

Have you found any structural/strength issues with the bottle opener? I haven't had much luck with the sturdyness of my prints, so in my head I feel like it wouldn't be strong enough. It's an amazing idea, and I'm surprised that something like this hasn't been made before. Awesome job!!

I haven't had any issues with the strength, I have broke a few just to test the weak points. If I had a concern with the strength it would be the pop top opener for the glass bottles. As long as you use a thumb or a finger to support the top of the bottle opener I don't think you will have an issue. Additionally, if you have some polycarbonate, nylon or carbon fiber spools laying around I'd use one of those. My test were with PLA/PETG.

Didn't think about placing your thumb on the back of the opener. I am currently printing one out now @ 100% infill and I'll have to try it out. Thanks again for posting the files for this, this really is an amazingly designed tool that has the potential to help a lot of people!

I cant believe no one has commented on this yet! Anyhow, I would just like to say I have printed and used all iterations of your design and am very excited to try out the latest one! Both my grandmothers have arthritis, and now my father is starting to get it badly. Your design has not only made me a hero, but it has justified my dad buying my first 3D printer for sure. Thank you again for this incredible design!

Thank you for sharing Alex! That's the reason UBO exist! Glad you were able to help your family and join the 3D printing community!
