Hi, cool mod but the outside mount has some quirks, first of all the motor mount is inverted so you can't put a screw to tighten the two parts (the stepper is too close to the wall to allow a screw head).
Second quirk with the outside mount, when a motor is installed it collides with the top right screw, which prevents any dampener or any longer nema17 motors to be mounted (at least, not without removing it).

First issue can be solved by using a chamfer, and while at it maybe moving to smaller diameter screws (like, 2x m3 screws in diagonal, instead of one centered M5 one), I'll see if I have an hour or two print to start so I can remix these parts.
Second issue kinda suck tho, making the screw hole a bit further would just make the print time longer for a small usecase :/ It would also bump with my Y-rods mounts (this thing : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3456543 ), and adding a "horizontal tab" to move the screw to the top of the extrusion is a no-no as well, my Y-endstop cable is down there and I'm not the only one to do so.

So, do you think it's fine to simply remove the screwhole (circled in red in the screenshot attached) ? The reinforced mount piece should prevent the motor mount from flexing anyway ?
