they go in very hard, the tolerance are tight, if u can before printing remove a layer or 2 from the flat side touching the bars, otherwise u may have some problems trying to fit them.

I had to shave one layer off the bottom of the flat plate, to get mine to slide on. (I also learned that zero infill is not strong enough to push hard on the end of the plate, when trying to force them on.)
Not sure whether I used the wrong settings for the support, or whether the tops of the trapezoids are just one layer too close to the rails.
Nonetheless, I persevered and got these ones installed, rather than reprinting with better settings.
I had already bought the one blue dot balls before reading comments that two yellow dots might provide the best sound muffling. Gotta say that now my printer makes those same high-pitched whistles, but now it "whispers". My thinking is that the harder balls are less likely than the yellow dot ones to compress with weight and time. Definitely don't need the bolts & nuts as well. Especially not when you don't clean the glue off the rails first.

I had a big problem, and on the French FB of Ender3 I'm not the only one:
Important modification with the mini grinder ... the shape under the trapezium is too fair 0.4 to 0.6mm ... And breaks the room if you force! it would have to be modified on the original model. By cons, the final result with medium hardness squash balls is bluffing !! especially during filling period jerky, the noise is greatly reduced!

Could you print the balls in tpu?

It's strong enough with 15-20% infill. I used triangular one.

I used some yellow practice golf balls. They fit perfectly and worked excellent. A pack of 6 cost $5 at walmart.

Awesome. That's great to know.

These look great, but any chance of adding another size for a racket ball? squash balls are quite expensive here.

I got 4 cheap squash balls from aliexpress, for around $10.
