Hello - I've been working on printing this model just right and noticed that the sensor array from the original model isn't part of your stl files. I did try slicing the sensor array but flashprint and cura are having a hard time with it, maybe the file is mangled? Any chance you could take a look at it? Thanks!

Wow I had no idea it was missing. I wish someone would have said something before now lol. I have uploaded the modified sensor that goes with the ship. Thanks for pointing it out. I added the file to the comment too, just in case it takes a while to appear.

Got it! Looks great, thanks!

How long does the final ship turn out to be? I'd like to print it for the X-Wing miniatures game and need to figure out how to scale the files down to 1:350 scale. Thanks!

Its a bit over 1 foot long, little over 300 mm. i think it would need to be scaled up to match 350th. using the pics in the reply might help you with the scales. one is the jedi cruiser cross section to show the scale of the people inside the ship and the other is of the bandai falcon at 350th scale. use the size of the people relative to the cruiser to scale it.

I tried the front section with twin gun and dish but the print failed about 5mm off the print plate. Had a similar issue with the orig file from danielbogearts (think thats right)

How exactly does it fail? Do the layers shift? I had that problem with the original cockpit and it happened 2 times at the same layer. I knew it had to be the model and not my printer, so I rotated the cockpit 90 degrees in cura and it printed just fine. If that's the case, try printing it as it is in the picture below.

could you possibly add to the files a full middle version, with the updated detail but without the turret holes?
A complete engine section, and a cruiser complete as well (without any cuts to it)

I did the middle and engine section but tinkercad is giving me some trouble with grouping the whole ship together. I'll get it done one way or the other tomorrow though. I have my ways lol.

Also looks like there's some sort of error in the engine file.

repaired file up now.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm trying to repair the file now.

Thanks! I'm trying to upload it so shapeways (so I can get it done via an SLS print) but it keeps rejecting it saying model isn't manifold. My own fixes don't seem to work (I've tried using online auto-fixers, meshmixer, and netfabb) but it doesn't want to work. Anything you know might get it to work?

i'm looking for solutions now but i've never used shapeway to print before.

Also any plans to do an Arquitens Class Imperial Cruiser? Your greebling work is pretty good. I don't know much about 3D modelling etc, just basics. I could supply you with the ships hull, and it'd just need detailing work.
I use shapeways because SLS prints are pretty good (slightly course texture, but otherwise basically ready to paint with minimal, if any, clean up) and shapeways offer them at good prices (helps if a model is hollow with large escape holes so they can print other models inside yours to save on space)

i can take a look but can't promise i'll get to it any time soon, i'm swamped with projects. send me the ship.

Thank you! If you can't get the full cruiser, don't worry about it. Sorry to be a pain, but the under side detailing (the small pod looking things) are missing from your updated complete middle model

Done, I added the escape pods. You can print them separately or on the middle as 1 piece.

they were never there on the original files but i can try and make some.
