Made the box with magnets, works great.

by chance has this been designed on fusion 360? Would like to remix the hole pattern for mini tool application as well as make the bottom plate deeper...thx.................printed the clasp model and it works nicelywith pla....the hinge was tight but after some flexing it broke loose and moves nice and tight with no loss of motion

I work at Solidworks and can only provide source files for this program. If you understand them, here they are. It seems they are available for import into Fusion 360. I have not tested the version without magnets and use it myself with magnets. This is the most convenient option. Unless it is necessary to make grooves for specific magnets.

About tolerance, it is looks like very very tight... easy to fuse each other, mainly using ABS for example. Is it possible to let it a little bit loose? (0.2 or 0.3mm)

Hey. I made a tolerance test for this model. I printed a sample with a tolerance of 0.2 mm from PET-G and it works well, but I uploaded models with a tolerance of 0.3 mm and a "test" model in the same way. The easiest way to adjust the tolerances is the "horizontal layer shift" function in the slicer. To increase the clearance in the slicer CURA (and others), you must set a negative value. For example, -0.1 will mean that each wall on each layer will move by 0.1 mm inside the model and all gaps and holes will increase by 0.2 mm.

I already know about slicers config but using that, not only the hinges tolerance will be affected but the entire part (including all the holes) but when you said you used 0.3mm, I´m going to give it a shot.

I liked this design and intend to print one but just to know: is this a WIP or you already printed one?

I printed a sample with magnets, but then I created a model with a latch on it. Experimented with retraction and the quality was not very good.
