BTW, for Star Wars Legion, a scale of 330% (multiply by 3.3) is ideal. ;)

I really wanna try the print, but the model has issues with every slicer I used (simplify,slic3r,cura) even in the preview here one can see that the front is not a closed object. In the preview here it's the one side on the bottom, in the slicers also the cockpit has issues. I wonder what slicer you used when you printed it.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble.
I repaired the front section a bit, there were indeed some errors in the bottom part and some faults on the inside.
Tried to fix it as well as i could..

I use Cura 15.04.6

Please try and let me know how it works out.

looks way better thx. will share my build when it's done

great, hope it works out

Tried printing the whole thing, didnt notice but after 10 hours of printing it came out full of holes, it seems that the full model doesnt slice as it should

Will take a look at the splits to see if they have the same issues

Sorry for the error
The splits version normally all print fine.

I uploaded a new version of the full model.

Fantastic looking print. I'm struggling a bit with it, my version of CURA (3.3.1) sliced everything great apart from the rear section which seems to have missing walls and ignores the exhaust ports. Screenshot attached, areas in grey do not print. Any suggestions? I have tried all sorts of different slices in CURA.

Tnx for the comment :)
And also tnx for reporting the error. Strange that i didn't notice it when i printed my Y-wing...
I repaired the file and uploaded the new version.
Try it and please let me know if it works.

Hopefully the rest of your print goes without problems.
otherwise contact me at once :)

That works fine now, thankyou :) I've sliced it in CURA and it is all good.
I'm printing at 250% because I think that is legion scale but it seems huge. I'm going on the wookiepedia length: 24.3 meters quoted. Even so the exhaust ports will only slice if I select "print thin walls", is it possible to thicken up the exhausts and some of the pipework. The pipes all print but as it's intended for play rather than display they are a bit fragile. I'll post a make once everything is printed off in a week or two.
Finally - did you create landing gear for the model?

Thank you for the "thin walls" tip on the nozzles. I was having trouble slicing those without that option.

No sorry, i didn't make a landing gear.
I did find the landing gear model here on thingiverse for the X-wing.

Maybe you can use those? => https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2300768

Hopefully it all works out and would love to see the result

Landing Gears for X Wing

Great idea, I shall give them a go.

NICE model! Everybody DOWNLOAD this before the disneyhammer arrives... they've been quite active as of late...

Another great job....don't know what to do next.....Thanks!!! Another question, as always, could you say me total size of the ship?

when printed in 1x scale, the total model is around 17 cm

Seem to be having issues with the pylons, though I think I'm printing at different settings than you, z resolution is .2 I think, also, any way to get the stand?

I printed the pylons at very low resolution. 0.1 mm I think.

Stand is a stand I use for every model when taking photos for Thingiverse.

I'll include the files.

Good luck with your print, Hope to see the result soon.

Awesome, thanks! I got a little ambitious and tried to print all parts at once, will have to try again lol. How did you orient the parts to print without supports?

I printed them all facing upwards with the flat part on the heatbed

Crap. That's another shelf I've gotta put up...……

Nice work as always David :-)

hehe Colin :)
Hope you got a big house :D

Tnx for the comment! I'll keep doing my best :D
