It would be nice to have access to the USB-C port on the controller for charging. I like this setup so much I tend to leave the bracket on.

Also I created a tension bar as an alternative to the rubber bands. You just need an M4*20mm screw and an M4 nut. Here is my thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3960817

Tension Bar for Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Mount (Rubber Band Alternative)

Any chance for a version that works with the new Nintendo Switch Lite? The lite is even lighter than the tablet only portion of the OG Switch, so the weight balance is even better.

I dont have a NSL. If i get one i will make one

Thanks for the response - if I could whet your appetite:

Switch tablet overall weighs 11 oz, the lite weighs 9.7oz. Additionally the Lite is also probably about an inch “shorter”. Combined, the weight and decreased height would make very a VERY comfortable thing to mount to a pro controller that would be significantly less strain on the wrist over prolonged play sessions.

I'm working on a remix where the angle and placement is adjustable, do you think this could work, or is the center of gravity too specific?

Sounds awesome. with a remix like that you should be able to adjust the cg. let me know when its done. I'd love to print 1 or 6 of them

could this add air bubbles to a screen protector?

where to get the stl for the grips?

Would you mind sending me the .stl for those grips?

I made this over the weekend, and took a dremel to all the portions that would make contact with the controller and switch and have had pretty much no problems.

I just sanded the edges down to a slight chamfer. If there was going to be revision, I'd suggest that.

Thanks for the remix!

For those wishing to minimise scratching/movement, a good solution I found is to use some self amalgamating tape (Nitto brand is good) which can be found in most electronics or hardware shops. Stretch & wrap it around the mount, it'll protect the controller/switch & being a rubber type tape, it'll prevent any movement too.

will scotch tape do it also?

Just saw this. Thanks for liking it! I'll try that tape also.

This looks awesome. How tight is the fit? I had the other version printed and the fit is so tight, it broke my Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Maybe I picked the wrong material to get it printed with, if so which material did you print with? Thank, hopefully will be ordering this soon.

I printed with PLA. I have a "plastic" screen protector and it fits great.

Super awesome! Love the way it feels, center of gravity is great! It did scratch a bit of paint off the switch and pro controller, so maybe it could do with some padding. Good remix!

I'm glad you like it! Sorry about your controller.... Padding is an excellent idea!
