This is a great duct. It fits the Cocoon Create Model Maker as well as the i3 mini. The model was easy to print and fit. The first fan I tried wasn't wired correctly and being a newbie I didn't realise. So it broke when I tried to print. Next fan was correct out of the packet, plugged in adjusted my slice and good to go. Thanks for this model!

Hi LonePiper,
How do you place them so supports are minimal and easy to remove? My second snail fan's rectangle part is 14.5x21 mm. Would it fit? Thanks for further suggestions/helps.

Hi sinuscosine,

Sorry for my late reply, and I hope this is of some help. It's been a while since I printed this part, so I'm trying to remember exactly what I did. First up, I printed a couple of draught ducts on my CCMM using pla, just to see they would fit, and how they went together. I printed them in the orientation that the file defaulted too and I don't recall needing any supports. I've printed the final parts in ABS using an Up Mini. I let the Up Mini's slicer program do the slicing and I don't think any supports were involved? A little bit of rubbish from inside the duct easily cleaned up after the print. The radial fan I bought is a 50mm diameter fan. I don't think the radial fan you mention at 14.5 mm by 21 mm would fit? You might have to double check what fan you need for this job. Hope this helps. Happy printing! :-)

I got this printed and installed. I wired up the new fan and plugged it into the connector labeled "Fan" but it isn't turning on. I have my slicer settings set turn it on on level 2. Did you do anything different?

What size and type blower fan is used for this project?

This duct needs an additional fan and is difficult to print and build. Was not happy with it.
