Hiya! Just started printing this on my Ender 3, using Cura 3.6 and it's printing in air for a while, the going back to the main body. Any idea why? I was using the Fixed finally for now file.
Cheers.

Hi, sorry for the late answer. Could you please send a screenshot from your slicer, or describe what part of the model is printed in the air?
And maybe you didn't use supports (unfortunately, they are necessary in this model)

will print after my prusa gets here

Thanks for the design

This is the happiest cactus I've ever seen and all I want to do is give him a hug.

Thank you for the comment!

Loved this cactus will soon print it out.

Thank you! :)
Then waiting for your make ;)

S3D seems to want to decapitate the thorns on the arms and head? any ideas as to why? This is the same on both the normal and fixed models...?

Could you please check the new file (CactusBodyFixed_now_for_real.stl), and let me know how it went

I'll check it ASAP, should do something for the University, but I think i can fix it till the end of the week. Thanks for the report of the problem.

I'm printing this at 370% the size! Thats the maximum of the prusa i3mk3. It's glorious!

Thank you :) waiting for the "make" ;)

I wil take pictures tonight! At work atm... :-)

edit: the pictures are uploaded they are in the make section.

nice model, but on the Fixed body some of the spikes are not fully connected :)

Could you please check the new file (CactusBodyFixed_now_for_real.stl), and let me know how it went

looks and slices nicely :)
I already printed the previous and moved the thorns in Simplify3D :)

Waiting for the make ;D

Ok, I'll check it soon, thanks for the advice!

arms aren't slicing properly in cura. They are hollow with supports in the middle for some reason. http://prntscr.com/jv4hmx

Could you please try a new version of cactus body (CactusBodyFixed.stl), and let me know please how it went

Looks good when sliced! Printing now. Thanks for the quick fix.
