Seems like there are issues with the second piece part in this print. At 100% scale everything looks good in S3D, however when resizing to 120% the model has gap in the layers that runs across the entire print.

Little confused, trying to fix the model with S3D so far but no results yet.

Could you solve the problem? Also have this problem, which I notice when printing synonymous

I ended up slicing at .2 layer height and that seemed to resolve the issue, I can upload the gcode if you'd like.

Strange. I printed mine in Cura.. maybe try that and see how it comes out for you

I just adjusted my layer height from .12 to .2 and that seems to have resolved the issue... Certainly strange. I put it into PrusaControl just as a test and it seemed to think the print started at the colored area o_0

I'll just stick with the .2 layer height for the second piece, for now. I doubt it will impact the end result that much anywho.

Thanks for the design! Looking forward to posting my Make :-)

This is really cool! What did you print it on? I'm worried I don't have a large enough print space from just looking at the pictures.

I have a Tevo Tarantula with the larger bed.. it's as big as i could get it! i f you have a bigger head you would want to scale it up a bit bigger :)

hi there firstly just printed off the bottom section and 120% defo is the correct size,

tho the mask when have printed it off is pretty flimsy is there anyway of increasing the thickness of the print just to give it abit more rigidness as I wouldn't like to use it for anything other than decoration as be scared it would crack or snap :)

tho if you can it would be a great addition to a fabulous mask

Very nice, what did you use for the dreads?

Heh, I was on mobile before so I didn't watch the video. Just did and now it's a dumb question! :p

However, I didn't hear you talk about coating the backer rod in anything. I've been debating on simply heat sealing and then painting vs plastidip. I don't feel like going to the length or cost of using latex etc. What is yours finished with?

I just used a flexbile vinyl type of paint.. if it does happen to chip or crack it takes 2 seconds to touch it up later so im not worried cheap and effective!

Ah ok cool, thanks!

i just printed this off at 100% scale but it seems small?

The comments on his YouTube video also said the same thing. Those commenters were planning on sizing it up 10-20% . From this site here, (https://www.predatorium.com/forums/threads/p1ish-bio-sculpt-dimensions-measurements.23183/) , I think movie-accurate dimensions might be a little closer to 127.5% . Take that with a xenomorph-size grain of salt, though.

thanks, i have scaled it too 130% and started reprinting and looks alot better

Thanks for the feedback I added those comments to the description. Mine is a bit small the extra scaling would help! (Biggest I could squeeze out of my print bed)

Cool! Nice build and thanks for the remix.

Thanks okimoki! thanks for the awesome source model to work with :)
