can you upload a dxf 2D-Version of your clocks?
For laser cutter or similar.

I am about to print this clock and I have already printed 2 beetles and a Metallica clock to give as gifts to my family.

I’ve never messed with clocks before and I was hoping you might could recommend a good clock kit on amazon, as I will probably be buying 4 of them and don’t want to buy the wrong one.

Thanks for your help and I love the design!

Thanks man, to be honest I just bought some cheap clock kits off ebay, and apart from the hands being a bit bent, they work nicely :)

Reanimatednerd, why is the .stl different to the print in the photo? The number 6 and 9 are spaced much closer to the center line in the actual .stl

The one in the pic was the first test print, Ive edited the numbers since to improve the look

What clock movement did you guys use.

What size nozzle did you use to print it? I have 0.4mm set in my slicer and it seems to miss a couple of the thinner detail.

I used a 0.4mm nozzle too, must be a slicer setting out of whack

I'll look into it :)

In Cura ? Use under Setting "Print thin Walls".

Hello, thanks for sharing.

little remix:

  • Original model remeshed
  • Clock ø 200mm, hole ø 8mm, thickness 2mm
  • Clock ø 180mm, hole ø 8mm, thickness 2mm
  • Clock ø 160mm, hole ø 8mm, thickness 2mm

why dont you put the files on "remix it" menu option?

Thanks anyway to share that options.

How do you plan to mount this on the wall with a clock mechanism behind it?

The clock gubbins I used has a wall mount thing on it, but I made a stand so it'll sit on a shelf, I'll update the files when I finish work

Love it, I've already cut it into 4 sections so it'll fit on my 200x200 bed and I'll try glueing it together.
Any idea what clock fingers you're going to use? Maybe some custom ones like lightsabers?

I hadn't even thought of custom hands, but that's a really good idea!

It would complete the look of it for sure :)

I would like to make it but I have a regular bed size (200x200) and if I scale down, for sure the center hole wont fit on clock mechanism... :(

You could either drill it out with an 8mm bit, or adjust the file in tinkercad before printing
