(BEGIN-DRAMA) To prevent all the surface area in a workshop to get cluttered and be abused for storage sooner or later every tool needs a home. For the longest time I had been struggling to make a proper mount for my Bosch Professional 12V cordless drills and drivers. Nothing satisfied my expectations. To me it appeared as if Bosch had created a great little screw gun for which there was never going to be a proper wall mount. After spending hours on research and downloading and trying lots of wall mount designs it dawned on me I had to make one myself. (END-DRAMA)
PoshMount is the wall mounted drill home to store all your favourite Bosch Professional screw guns on. Holding the tool at an angle it balances well between precious wall real estate and mounting depth. The tool slides in easily, rests securely and can be taken off the mount in a naturally swift sliding motion.
The drill needs to have the large Bosch GBA 4Ah type battery installed which is the one I chose to use for all my drills.
4%-20% infill with 4 to 5 perimeters, top and bottom layers
Any print setting I tried lead to a successful print. I did not need neither brim nor rafts or support. A well configured first layer will get you good results.
M3 Hardware required - or just use hot glue?
The mount consist of the two parts MountPoint and PoshMount plus two PoshWash washers. Please either use the washers or use flat screws (not the self-tapping self counter-sinking type) to prevent layer separation.
The "MountPoint" needs to be wall mounted first (using "PoshWash" washers or proper screws), then slide the "PoshMount" on top of it and secure with a fitting M3x10 or M2x12 screw. You can just fill the hole with hot glue to secure the "PoshMount" in place for a life-time permanent installation. Presumably it will never come off the wall ever again.
