Edit: Currently working on better fitting slot clips on another design. Will port it over to this design after finishing. Current version will fit too, but not as tightly.
This is a holder for Dell HD Integrated Webcam sourced from an old Latitude notebook, to use with octoprint.
It features a toolless corner mount for 3030 aluminium extrusion (B-Type 8mm), such as used in the Hypercube Evolution.
To mount it on the extrusion corner, push the front side (2 wings) vertically into the extrusion slot and rotate the mount 90° to lock it. Push the other end with only 1 wing into the opposite extrusion slot.
Design is not really optimised for printing but with some little supports it's no problem.
Print with bigger side down.
Webcam pinout and USB wiring
To wire this thing properly, I used
Pinout from webcam:
- Yellow (3.3V) <- out - HT7333 - in -> wire to VBUS/VCC/5V
- Orange <-> D-
- Red <-> D+
- Brown <-> GND <- also HT7333 GND
After soldering this adapter the webcam is plug and play, even with octopi.
