Amazing job you have done here and thanks for the updated way better version here. I wonder how you do that desinging stuff.... :-D

Just now i am trying to adjust the files for my Ender3 matching with the size to my 7 year old boy.
During the split process in Fusion 360 i realized that you have an unwanted triangle structure on the left inner side of the helmet. The outside corner is somehow pushed inside and creates a sharp triangle structure. You don't want this there ;-)
The problem comes from the original STL and is also visible in 3d mode of Thingiverse.
Somewhere at the temples area i would say this must be - see the screenshot i made.
I have to get rid of this issue...damn these STL with 1Mio triangle is difficult to edit.
Seems like i have to reduce the total triangle from our 1Mio+ ~to 9k (aaahh so many triangles to lose) which reduce the perfect helmets quality.

If you have the original file in a different format then STL. I guess the removal of this unwanted structure goes way better.
I just want you to know that people will encounter an issue if they don't remove and refill the section somehow there.
Maybe you have time and will to fix this :-)

I try my best now with my limited mesh knowledge inside Fusion - wish me luck, carnival is soon. ;-)

Daniel

Is it like it on the other side? I'd just split it down the middle copy the right side and mirror it. I dont know anything about Fusion sorry and only work in with STL's I guess thats probably why I get the ocassional error. Have you used netfab before that seems to fix most issue. I'll have a look at it and see if I can reload a repaired file, Cheers Jace

I have two things to ask. What is used for that visor and how did you do the paint job cause whenever I paint anything at all it turns out like garbage. Thanks

If you read the thing details all will be revealed ; )

Hey!

I am using this helmet as part of my Build, i am building my old Halo 3 character (image attached).

I have all the parts apart from the Hayabusa chest and shoulders.

do you know of any other repositories i could find them?

Many thanks,

Anthony

Hi Anthony,
Yes I have those in in a PEP file and 3D STL. What is your preference? Cheers Jace

Hello, I'm sorry to bother you as you seem like a very busy guy with all of these amazing designs you post. I really like this helmet design that you have, however, my printer isn't big enough to print it full size. I have tried on Tinkercad to edit it but the single file is too large to import. I have also tried Fusion 360, and I still cannot split the object because of my lack of experience. I would really appreciate it if you could splice up the file into a few smaller pieces (halved or quartered should work). If you are unable to ill just find a different helmet. But you can or can't help, thanks a lot!

Here are some programs that will help you cut it up

I use Windows 10 free 3DBuilder to split up all my models, not only ready foir printing, but to actually seperate the files. Very simple the you tube video above will help explain. Just takes a little time. If you truely get stuck let me know and I'll try and find some time to cut it up for you, Cheers Jace

Ok, thank you very much for the help. Keep up the amazing work!

Dude!!!!! you are amazing!! You have no idea how long I've been searching for a good file of this..

Printing will begin soon and ill update you. Thank you from rainy old Ireland :D
