Thanks a lot, works perfect for me!

Hello,
in the pictures I can see that you haev mounted the extruder motor on the side of the printer, how did you do that?
Could you take another picture where i can see how you mounted the extruder?
I need a spool holder, so I cannot decide which one would fit, maybe can you tell me which one you are using? :)
BTW: Im using version 1 for about half a year without problems...

Hi I use this mod https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2858054 read the Post-Printing
section and i use the default anycubic acryl spool holder. BTW: i have been using V1 for nearly a year without problems too.

Anycubic I3 Mega 90° Extruder Holder

Printed it with an Anycubic I3 Mega without support and used a M3 screw instead of the printed pin. Fits perfect. Thank you for this :-)

Holds it in place very nicely. Was still getting lack of filament error so I've just disconnected the filament sensor altogether and works perfectly now! But as for the holder, it is perfect!. The sensor wasn't coming loose anymore!

LOL... this is not a problem by the magnetic ball. This ist a problem by settings or filament

Very first thing I am going to print after the owls. The magnetic ball came off
3 times during the owl print and ruined the quality. Really looking forward to this
helping the issue. Nice one!

Thank you for this thing! Thumbs up to you!

Awesome! This worked perfectly, thank you for this design!

Printed at 0.1 without supports.

About to print this as I'm really annoyed by the magnet coming loose all the time. How do I remove the magnet holder from the frame and what screws do i use to attach this one?

Remove by unscrewing the screw at the top of the magnetic plate, that holds the sensor, attach holder with the same screw.

Yep got it done. Thank you. It was annoying to fit the filament into the extruder though. Not much distance. I might install it on the same bracket where magnet was attached to. little longer distance will help with guiding the filament in

PS - yep just modded a bit. Seems better

Very first thing I printed on this printer after the owls. Entirely due to the owl print being ruined by the filament sensor. Great design thanks for the post

Thanks !

Just printed, and it has been working really fine for the last hour.
Much better than that stupid magnetic ball which is always detaching itself during prints

I printed with (touching) supports and it was fine. Infill at 20%.

Thanks for very fast response - I already printed the recommended one but it doesnt work 110% perfect thus I was searching for an alternative.
I asked there for any hint ...

THANKS again!

Hi
1) You are printing this really without support?
2) Do you know if the inner things of the other filament-holder (which is also conencted via a magnetic ball) would also to disassemble and put into this?
BR

Yes prints without support, because it has only one mild bridge at the top of the front arch, all other parts are overhangs that climb up.
I dont think it will fit but look at this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2567386
