This Thing holds a Solo cup to check how much water your sprinkler system is providing for your lawn. By placing several cups in a zone you can see how much water each zone is getting and adjust watering times accordingly. You can also verify (other than brown spots) if there are areas that are not getting the same amount of water and adjust/fix the system as required. This helps make your system more efficient and saves water.
There are good descriptions on the sprinkler mfg. web sites as to what you can or should do for lawn irrigation.
You can use a full height cup if the sprinklers get the water high enough or cut the cups down for low or misting heads.
The holders are designed to use a 16d (16 penny) nail as the center spike to hold the cups in position on the lawn.
I used the high speed profile on my printer because finish detail doesn't matter for this use.
