I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, but every print that I have attempted the spool bracket has fail or easily breaks off. Has anyone else had this problem? I guess I should note that I flipped the caddy, so that the spool bracket is point upwards. I don't know why my layer lines are so weak here. Thank you in advance!!!

What percentage, and type of infill are you using. I think I did my original one with Triangles at 30% and 3 walls.

Printed perfectly, but I wasn't aware that my spool holder has a different locking mechanism and does not allow enough space for the tool rack. looking for a replacement spool that i can print to make use of this!

I updated the design. Need testing.

I ran into this same issue but 20 minutes with a dremel and it fits perfect

If someone can measure that "ring" on the spooler. I can make a 2nd version to accommodate it. .

36mm, let me know when you've uploaded an updated version and I'll test it.

I made it 4mm. Probably more than it needs. Files have been uploaded. Thank you for the information.

Working on it right now. I have an idea, but I need the width of that ring as well.

I had tje same issue , printed great , had to use a dremmel tool to make it fit due to the spool holder knob will post pictures later

i would like to see pictures. I have the original Ender 3. Do you guys have a newer version or maybe the pro version?

Sorry I hadn't seen this til now. I'll post a photo when I am home next

I updated the design

Really, I'm curious as to what you have?

Works great and it clicked right into place behind on the spool holder. My scraper is round at the base but it still works fine.

What if you redesigned this with the post attachment from the Alcohol wipes container? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3003231

Ender 3 Alcohol Wipe Holder

Good idea. I'll look into it.

Any updates to the model? Looking forward to an improved attachment hole.

I just uploaded a new file with changes.

Yes, I am re-working it with Script-Fu idea of rails instead of threads. Hopefully, will be up by this weekend.

Great, I'll do some beta testing for you once it's up!

Give it a go. I just uploaded V2

I have an aesthetics suggestion: rearrange the slots so that the ender 3 logo is in the front.

Thumbs up from me! It fits quite nicely. It does rotate a little bit, but the hole fits the tube with little play. I don't think the wobble is a big issue. I think I have an extra small hole that I'm not sure what it's for. It's the smallest hole on the bottom right. I put the needle declogger foam in the rectangular slot on the right, but that needle does fit into the tiny hole. Maybe the rectangular slot is for the usb dongle? What was your intent?

I made the square for a caliper. The small hole is for the declogger.

Brilliant. My caliper fits right there.

Glad you like it.

A skinny vertical post down to the top rail. Where the spool holder bolts up. Could also stabilize the height of your tool holder. Also not related would be a tool tray made for the top rail on the right side. With a lid to keep all the bits related to the Ender 3. I do like the tool trays everyone has made for the bottom next to the control box. However i wont use them as the control box has a hard enough time keeping cool on it's own. Those tool trays at the bottom block off the vents on the side of the control box. It's just not worth the loss of cooling to me.

printed this off twice and neither would work as the hole to screw onto the post is way too large and just slides over the end without any threads even close to touching. Liked the simplicity of this design over others, but guess will have to use another flavor of tool holder instead :( I wonder of the spool holder post for the ender 3 is of a smaller diameter than the CR-10 if this was initially designed for the CR -10

Threads didn't fit very well for me.. Soon as I put spool on it pops off

I printed 2 off this design. The first fit snug, and the second was loose, even though I didn't change anything on the design. I'll see if i can tighten up the threads just a little bit.

Mine was loose as well. Maybe get rid of the hole and threads and just put a couple of small holes to bolt it to the bracket?

I'm printing up a remix of this right now with different threads and another mod for the caliper holder, I'll post it up as a remix if successful

Seems like there's plenty of room to add a few more (threads) as well but as STL files are so difficult to modify I couldn't manage it..
