Does it need support structures?

It can be done without.

What scale is this in?

Any chance you could post this with the regular wings. This is my son's favorite ship. I'd like to pair this with the X-Wing (link below) I made for him? BTW. I love your builds.

Hi. No immediate plans to revisit this model as I'm so busy. Maybe in the future I'll have another look at it.

Did you make a version without the heavy cannons? The Interceptor is pretty much the sexiest Star Wars ship of all.

Hey man, how's it going.

No I never did a standard version but I may re-visit it in the future if there is enough interest. I like to put a spin on my versions to be a bit different.

Wow!!! This is incredible! I am going to give this a shot. Love the paint & weathering. Did you print the main structure in white? It would be great to see a build of this on youtube. I'd definitely check it out. :-) Thanks for posting.

Hi, I use whatever pla colours I can get hold of. I usually paint so the base colour isn't important to me. This was actually printed in glow in the dark green, but white would be the obvious base colour if you have it.

Thanks Colin. Do you mind sharing some of the settings you used? I'm specifically looking for Layer Height and Fill Density. Thanks!!

This is really dependant on how well your printer is dialled in. All the parts were done on a Creality CR10 at 0.2 layer height and 10% infill.
I use Simplify 3D slicer. Speed was 3600mm/min
You could go to 0.1 layer height if your patient. I like to bash stuff out so time is always a factor for me.

That is awesome, I really really like it : )

Thanks, I'm currently working on another large rebel cruiser. Just printing it out now so hopefully should be finished and painted in a week or two.

Looking forward to seeing it, this model is great!

What scale is this modeled at?

No idea. How big is a full size one?
