jesus christ , the sensor should go BEFORE the extruder !!!!
This wont even detect a filament runout . after extruder is emptied , it wont be able to push the rest of the invisible filament past the switch.
and PLEASE dont let me know if the orientation is correct and you are using the BMG drive backwards.

Next Question... Anyone have a good idea on how to change the filament now that it's trapped inside the extruder and switch? Can I just push the new stuff in and it'll push the old through or should I pull the bondtech apart and pull the old out?

This is exactly what I want to know too.
I came here to take another look over this model before printing, because I suddenly realised changing filament would be a complete git.

Changing filament is tricky with a dual geared extruder (with or without this switch), just use gcode to load or unload filament and you're good to go.
You can either enable load/unload features in marlin and use M701 and M702 or just extrude the amount needed with a G1 E-***

Cool item! Could you update for the new filament sensor? (Square chip)

Which lid are you using for the this housing? Is it printed? Do you have the file for it?

It's in the "thing details" description.
It's a remix, you can find the lid on the original design, it didn't need any modifications.

Do you have a link to the sensor?

Thank you! Can this be run concurrently with a BLtouch?

It depends wich motherboard you have. If it can support 6 endstop like any ramps 1.4 based motherboard yes (I use MKS boards and yes it can be used concurrently with a BLtouch)

Great design! I'm thinking of using it in my Ender 3 with BMG but I'd like to reuse the z-endstop as I'v changed to a BLtouch. Would it be possible to make a version of this that fits the original endstop?

I use it on an ender-3 (you can see it here: https://youtu.be/OwxyHY7YJ4A )
I don't think I'll bother to make another version, this endstop cost 0.70cts, it's really cheap. The stock endstop circuit is bigger and will be more difficult to fix in place.

Excellent little component, exactly what I needed for a CR-10S with Bondtech. Bondtech's own filament sensor holder was completely misaligned, and all the other holders relied on the CR-10S default extruder. Thanks!

Thanks :)
I designed it to be used on my cr-10 and on my ender-3 ;)
