Hi,
Please read the entire description. If you use the knurled knob for pencil, is mentioned that you need allen 3x25

" Updated 7-4-18

Added Knurled Knob for quick adjust of the pencil without tools (If you use it, the allen bolt should be 3x25 mm) "

Regards.

Sorry. I missed that part. Have deleted the comment.

Hi, thans for your comment.
Infortunately what you are proposing is complicated, but to solve your problem I can make a Body larger, perhaps 15 mm? as shown on the image.
Please return answer.

Simpler idea is to make the mounting area for the pencil 15 mm higher, that way the pencil can mount higher up...

Good design. If I were to make a change, I'd make the pencil attachment higher. All of my pencil sharpeners carve out a long taper, so from the tip of the lead to the shaft of the pencil is about 2.5cm in depth. So if I clamp down on an un-sharpened surface, I'm left with very little surface on the face to square up with what I'm trying to draw a line on because the pencil pokes out so far, to the point where it just wobbles around. The more surface on that face that we can apply to the surface, the more stable it will be. The pencil should only stick out no more than a cm, if not less. As it is right now, I have to sharpen by hand so the taper on the tip isn't so long to be able to use it. Unless I find a sharpener with a less drastic taper of course.

May not be missing in any workshop.
Thanks. Great design.

Simple and useful, I think it's great. The measurement is accurate because at 0, the center of the pencil matches the support. Excellent design

Hi, thanks for the good design!

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, the pencil tip is more or less in the center right? The way I'm looking at the markings, the line drawn would get offset with the radius of the pencil since the 0 mark starts at the pencil holder edge and not the center.
Is there a reason for this?

Thanks!

Hi Romeo.
Excuse my bad english. The reason the marks are displaced from the center pencil tip in the slider is because the triangle mark reference in the body is displaced from the edge of it.
If you print you will see that fits and marks correctly.

Perfect, thank you for explaining!

Awesome! You should make a slider up to 200mm as well

Very Very cool design!

Hi.

200mm version has been added

Hi, thanks for your comment.
