Should the one with no base and no sword be printed on its back flat or at a 45 degree or so angle?

On it's back :-)

Thanks for the fast response. Will print on its back and see how it goes :)

Mine printed fine until I hit the left hand and the fingers broke away with the supports, gonna try and make a version with a closed fist if I can though I'm new to playing with 3d models.

There already is one with a closed hand in this collection. I printed it as is. For the version you picked with the open hand you should have printed that on its back. Open fingers are difficult to print straight up. Sorry friend.

I would use that other model but there's no version of it without the sword, I printed the weapon separately as it means I can swap in weapons from the other giant models on this site if I want to. Other than the fingers it printed perfectly :)

This is why I supply the Blender files so you can make changes like that as needed. You would just select the sword, delete it, and export it as a new stl. But you can also just print a new hand by removing the hand from the model itself and gluing it on. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to separate mesh and export stls if you get lost.

awesome, I hadn't realized that I actually just opened the file in blender and a misclick removed the sword for me before I even started so I'm all set now, thanks for the help :)
