I'm currently printing one for a friend, so far they are coming out gorgeously on my Wanhao i3 mini. I'm using Cura, with maker bot pla filament.

Sweet! Post pics!

So, I printed this model out and soon realized something. The ridges on the back were gone. Is it possible to give the gargantuan model some back ridges. It's petty, I realize; but I feel the model would benefit from such.

This model never had those. If you want you could glue on the ridges I added to the Silver Dragon. Sorry.

Oh, excuse me. I had printed both the silver and this dragon. Please, forgive my confusion.

Broken. Even tried to repair quickly in netfabb and sliced until near the end and just bottles it. Before netfabb, just importing the file threw up an error. Importing into netfabb detected these errors, fixed them on default... not gonna bother to try to do an extended repair. Bad models for printing.

I mean there is literal photo evidence that I printed it just fine. I'm sorry you ran into problems. The reason I was successful was because I used Cura. This is an older file, and Blender usually created errors in stl files that some programs, like yours, can't seem to handle. To correct this, run it through Windows Builder. It'll detect any errors, and correct them. Then try again. You should be able to print them.

Or you can skip that and just use Cura, but that obviously is its own level of work. I'm currently away from home and don't have access to a computer with windows builder to fix these, but I will later this week. Sorry you ran into these problems, but this does in fact print. I mean there are makes too lol

True enough, I meant for me. Sorry for the confusion. I use Slic3r. Autodesk netfabb did detect errors and i did a simple repair, maybe ill try an extended repair. I can select Cura or Cura2 in my studio software. Will try tomorrow, got another print going right now. sorry for saying it's broken, i meant for me, not completely. Albeit it does have errors, but you mentioned about blender, so that's fair.

Sorry if i disrespected you in anyway, these do look nice... hopefully ill get one printed tomorrow once you or i can fix the errors.

It's cool. Good luck!
