Wow. Nice work. May I ask how many, and what kind, and sizes of bolts and nuts did you use? I assume you used T nuts with m5 screws? Thanks.

Awesome design, works flawlessly. I am really happy with this.
It will make putting the printer in an enclosure so much easier

You're welcome

After having this on for some time, it's really worked great.
I'm planning on eliminating my control box; as i got my plans together, I realized that the side exit for the wires isnt going to work. I was wondering if it may be possible to flip "05_Y and Z Mount _Base" so the wire exit is towards the rear of the printer? Since this has worked so well, I'm hoping to not have to change out complete cable chain systems for the one part to change lol.
I'd be happy to buy you a cup of coffee for the effort.
Cheers

Sorry for the late reply. Since we moved to another town i have no Computer with CAD at home nor a 3D Printer :(.
Hope i can help you after i renovated our new home and build my new setup :-/

Will the cr-10s filament detector fit with the z-mount installed?

I have a brace on my CR-10s. Will this design still work or is there a different adapter that can be made to use the cable chain?

It looks like it wont work. The cable chain mount and the chain would collide with your brace.

thank you for the upload. You fixed every concern i had with the original design! I'll have to print a new filament guide but easy solution compared to the work you've done. Have you considered doing a x gantry drag chain? something basic like this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2672937 would work well with your existing design and could utilize the same chain links.

i look forward to printing it and giving it a shot. thanks again!

Got it all printed in eSun PETG, plan on installing it in the next week or so. I have a heatsink on my x Motor that adds 11mm onto the distance from the bolt mount. is there any possibility you may be able to tweak the "07_Z_Mount" to compensate for the additional mass? I'd really prefer not to remove it, especially considering the thermal glue used to install it will make it a bit of a b.
I'd be happy to buy you a cup of coffee for the trouble!

Thank you for the upload, but it would be sooooooo handy if it was explained how many of each item was needed to be printed.

There is actually a picture that shows how many of each part you need.

Does it need supports?

I've printed it with supports

Do I need extended cables or OEM wll fit?

You will need the extended cables

Thank you for the nice work.
But if i open the stl its micro small.
I think about 10x to small.
Can you check it.
The z-mount is only 4.55mm in Z for example.

Its because Inventor saved it in cm and i drew it in mm.
Just scale it by 1000% in all directions.
You're welcome

If you export using the 3D print environment, the model will be at scaled correctly.
