Is it possible to get it in CAD format? I want make 2020 variant. Thanks.

Can this be printed without supports, don't seem to be able to find away without using them, thanks KH

The 8mm linear rod hole is too small man. I inspect the stl file and the value is 7.97mm, while the real dimension of the rod is also 7.97mm. There is no way any 3d printer could print with that kind of tolerance. I think you need to increase the tolerance.

Nice work! Beautiful to see and it seems strong enough...
May I ask you what software you used to refine this way the items? TNX

It is a complete new construction from the scratch, based on ideas from remixed parts

One thing I would like to have is the nut holder be large enough to hold nylon locking nuts. I try to use nylon nuts any place where I won't be needing to remove or adjust the machine screw.

These are great! Thanks a lot for making and sharing these with the community. I too would love to see this design approach taken on the stepper motor mounts. These make the printer much more robust.

Great work!

cual es la posición correcta de impresión ¿sin soportes como ?

It's not possible to print it without support.
I hope I understood the question correctly.

you can publish the ideal configuration to print it I have tried it in several ways and it has always gone wrong. a quantity of the configuration a Cure

Dear Xcion

I am fiddling my Hypercube in Fusion360 together.
As stl import is a pain with this software i want you to as if you can share an other format? step?

Thank You!
Stephan

I know ;)
I is time-consuming to create for each variation a step file

which orientation do we print these in?

Print it vertical with the hole for the idler pulley up and down

The best design I have found so far :)
Whould it be possible to design a version for 2020 profiles?
I would be really thankful :)

I thing it is possible, but i don't have time to redesign it

Beautiful design! But doesn't the hypercube evolution use L brackets with M6 screws? I printed one just now, but it seems M5 holes at the top.

The european brackets use M6 screws. Drill it up or create a remix. It becomes even more confusing with all the different combinations

I wish there is one of this for the original Hypercube.

Great thing! Thx
A little bit tricky to print but in the end you can print without support ;)

Thanks Xcion
Your a star

Viktor do you propose to do the same for the stepper ends?

That is my next step to change booth XY stepper mounts. Nothing special, but in the same design.

Hey, this is a really great design and it looks very smooth.

May i also ask for the stepper mounts, they make the XY- gantry perfect.

Could you change the fillets to chamfers? it's not going to be easy to print as-is

I don't plan it right now

Any chance with brass inserts ? Please

It's not my favorite choice, but why not. I think i get it done this week.

Do you have room for a M5 washers on the screws? These are 10mm out diameter
IMHO that is important for better distribution of the screw pressure over the plastic surface.

I think you don't really need the washer. It designed for ISO 7380-1 screw with 9.5mm head width. The screw lowering area is 10mm wide.
It could be close to fit a 10mm washer, but i hope if you want.

I've had better results using washers on printed parts. My HEVO is not ready and my old printer is not so good :(
The washer is better to avoid cracking printed parts. If you make a new version, consider widening the screw lowering to 10.5mm.
Thanks for the design, I will surely use it when I reprint all my parts, which is already planed

It's OK, i increase it to 10,5mm at next revision.

Looks nice... adding a 100mm or whatever extension below it for auto height alignment might be nice.

Thanks for suggestion. I make something for height alignment.

Very helpful. Maybe one more suggestion but not as important. A version for the 5mm bearing screw hole.

Done, too ;)

It is possible too
