My stepper motor shafts are 5mm and I like using 5mm bolts for idlers...

Idlers are too expensive... and most people that make them with bearings don't
fasten the printed part to the outer race of the bearing... making them useless.

I am rambling... take care

thoughts...

1: Split it in two peaces... each peace able to hold a common bearing, and a small washer in between both bearings the size of the inner race.. Easy to print three peaces, and on a bearing. I like this method so that your not printing the top lip in the air...
Both flanges are on printed on the bed.

2: Consider teeth to match the common idlers used for 3D printers.

3: Make a drive gear that uses two square nuts to fasten to the stepper motor... Prusa has it, hot end mounts using these
square nuts.

4: Consider printing with 3 to 4 shells and less than 50 % infill.

Oh, and nice work.... I wish I could do it... I can not even make a smooth idler bearing. ;-)

Feel free to adapt dwg file attached, I plan to drill 2 2mm holes and use 2 x 3mm screws without head and a slit as screwdriver head to fix on the shaft...
