I use a autolevel sensor on both of my printers. I use the optokoppler from youprintin3d.de.
I really like this thing, and everyone with autolevel feature knows why it is great!
The only thing was: there is no case for the electronic parts. (platine)

This stuff is really great, no extra glue needed, 100% sticky to the printed parts, which come off really easily, even without destroying the tape.
Another very hot tip is to use kapton tape! Here you get the glossy finish and perfect adhesion like with the blue tape! Look at this:
