Your cannon is a great model project and will post a picture when completed. My only problem has been the hub bands which are one solid disc when printed, anyway thanks for this creation.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. That was a very extensive work.

Cell137 had the same question :-)
If you look at "My print settings", you will see the settings in the last line:
width: 0.5 mm, Perimeter: 1, height: 0.3mm, bottom layer: 0, top layer: 0, infill: 0%, spiral vase

Das ist ein nettes Modell!

If I get the chance, I would like to make one.

I'd be very happy about that.
Your naval cannon has become one of the most beautiful models of it.

Fabulous model. Started printing, did the barrel in bronze PLA and started doing all the wood parts in Hatchbox Wood PLA.

Should be one great mantlepiece when complete.

Would love to see a caisson to go with this.

Thank you.

What does mean "Should be one great mantlepiece when complete?

In addition, a caisson would certainly look very good.
But it does take some work to design it. Since this cannon is particularly detailed, nobody has printed it yet. That's why I don't think there's any interest in a caisson.

You're the first to start printing.
With wood and bronze PLA it must look very good.
I am very excited to see it as Make.

Cracking model, well done.
just a few problems I've run into
the wheel hub band print out as a solid disc and the hub spacers are massive no matter if I use cura or s3d.
what did you make the holding pegs out of?

Well done again

Sorry, I didn't add it in print settings.
The hub band must be print hollow.
width: 0.5 mm, Perimeter: 1, height: 0.3mm, bottom layer: 0, top layer: 0, infill: 0%, spiral vase mode

What do you mean the hub spacers are massive?
Does it mean it has no hole?

spacers worked out somehow they came in scaled at 2500% but reset back to 100% and printed fine.
Going to try the setting and see if I can get the bands to print.
Thanks for the reply so far everything looks good just got to put it all together

very nice man.. great work..love that you take time to do it right.. keep enjoying..what u do! :)

Thank you.
You guessed right, it took me a long time. But if I do something like this, it should be something special.
But it also takes a lot of patience to print so many detailed parts. That's probably why it hasn't been reprinted yet.

Thank you for this !!!!

Thank you, I am glad you like it.
It was a hard work to find ways how to design as most as possible details, so they are also easy to print.
Now I am checking all gcodes for the settings I used.
Hope to add the print settings soon.
