I was inspired by M3 Adjustable GT2 Belt Tensioner (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1071695), but wanted to make design using M4 screws which are more available long screws to me.
Tensioner is made in two orientations. Can be used depending on available space because of belt orientation.
As addition it is using plastic cable tie to secure the part instead of plastic snapfit clips.
The cable tie should be tighten on sharp corner of the groove. Please see horizontal tensioners photo with cable ties for reference.
My metal core belts are way thicker than fiber glass core ones.
I realized it will not work with regular belts, so I made two versions of the part:
- Small gap means 0.9mm for the belt (see photos with dimension)
- Normal part has 1.25mm gap which one I use for steel core belt (see photos with dimensions)
Material used: PET-G
Instead of raft I used Brim around the part to have better adhesion because parts have really small contact surfaces.
