If you care about efficiency, a TP5000 or TP5100 is quite cool too

You don't need the diode...the TP4056 cannot feed back into the solar panel, in fact if you reverse the polarity of the battery to the TP4056, it will burn it out...it needs a battery protection circuit

Also...might need to change the resistor out to limit max current otherwise the pull from the TP4056 will prevent the solar panel from generating proper voltage (and current) this is why they have the MPPT charger
