A coaster, a symbol, a celebration of St. Patrick's day. It's whatever you need it to be.
I hope you find it useful.
Filaments used were PLA supplied by rigid.ink - Olive and Transparent Green.
The bi-colour print was printed with the assistance of a Palette+ multi-material system.
Body is Transparent Green PLA, and the stalk and leaf creases are Olive PLA.
I used Simplify3D to slice and set the infill to full honecomb as this looks stunning with the light shining through the transparent prints.
Layers settings I used were -
6 top, 3 bottom, 2 shells.
(Probably a bit of an overkill, but they look great!)
Print temperature was 200°C onto a 3DLAC-coated glass bed plate at 35°C.
Print speed was 30mm/s.
Full object cooling fan after layer 1.
Drawn in Fusion 360 as two objects and an object group.
- Leaf creases. Drawn to simulate light and curvature - grouped together
Saved as three STLs for a three-colour print.
Merged as one object to produce the mono-colour STL version.
